Autumn's First Freeze

"When everything that ticked has stopped,
And space stares, all around,
Or grisly frosts, first autumn morns,
Repeal the beating ground."

I love the picture and the poem. We are supposed to get our first freeze tonight too. It is awfully windy and cold today!

We haven't been cold enough for frost, but plenty of fog, that's for sure! Emily is my favorite poet of all time. :-)

We didn't get a full hard, long freeze. It did freeze but parts of my yard are still green.
